Isän talo – Father’s House is a home by a lake in southern Finland. It is an old farmhouse that invites you to get away from it all. It is the perfect vacation home for relaxation and rest all year round. You can enjoy walks in the lush green countryside or on the ice in winter. The house has four bedrooms, a living room, a kitchen, and a glassed-in porch that serves as a refreshing summer room. There are a total of 10 beds. The sauna is located in a stone outbuilding in the yard. The kitchen is well equipped. There is a catering service nearby where you can order food and delicacies to make your holiday easier.

The kitchen has an electric stove and oven, a wood-burning stove and baking oven, dishwasher, refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc., and all the necessary utensils for cooking and dining.

• The outbuilding has a wood-fired sauna (if you need help heating the sauna, please ask)
• The private beach slopes gently, has a sandy and rocky bottom, and opens to the south onto Lake Vanaja. It is also in the middle of a small nature reserve, as there are large deciduous trees growing in the grove here.
• 8 km to Sääksmäki Church and Voipaala Cultural Center, 13 km to Visavuori Museum, 17 km to Valkeakoski city center, 16 km to Korkeakangas Ski Center
• 145 km to Helsinki, 45 km to Hämeenlinna, 50 km to Tampere.
• Pets are allowed, provided they do not disturb other animals in the house.
• Smoking is not permitted indoors.
• Guests are responsible for cleaning and washing up before departure, as well as for using the area and buildings in an environmentally responsible manner.

A set of bed linen costs €12/person, or you can bring your own sheets and towels.
